Books I've read in the past

July 1990 - June 1991 (All were in Hebrew, unless noted otherwise):
  1. Crime and Punishment - Dostoevsky: I read this book as part of an assignment for school, but I liked it so much that I read it again.
  2. Far from the Madding Crowd - Thomas Hardy: The first of the Hardy books - I loved it and read many more of Hardy's books later. What I like in his books is the fact that everything on the surface is very idyllic, in the English countryside, but then, under the surface, weird and crazy things are happening.
  3. Hundred Years of Solitude - G.G. Marquez: Who hasn't read this book?
  4. White Book - Pavel Kohout - was recommended to us by our literature teacher, and from what I remember, was an amusing book about someone who decided to defy gravity.
  5. The Hotel New Hampshire - John Irving

I've read the Last Berliner recently as well and begun translating it from a German language edition into English (I'm not German). Could you possibly tell me of or send a link to the original Hebrew publisher? Also searching for his literary agent, but this is more difficult.

Hi!
You mentioned you have read The Cock's Crow - Avigdor Dagan. Do you still have this book? I need the ISBN to try to find it. Do you know where can I find/buy it?
Thanks!
